Key Stage 2
We need you to design, build
or draw a new airport
Did you know…
Windmills have been around for a long time, they were used in Persia (Iran) as far back as 200 BC
Do you see windmills or wind turbines
near where you are?
This week’s activity is brought to you by our Wind Team. We help Wind Farm developers plan their sites and make sure they don’t interfere with flying activity in the area. Some of the wind farms are in remote locations in the countryside, and some are miles out to sea. Wind is a renewable source of energy, like solar power and tidal energy.
Can you help design a new wind turbine?
This week’s challenge is to design a new wind turbine.
Have a think about:
What materials will you use?
How big will it be?
How can you make it run better?
Send us a photo of your Wind Turbine when you are finished!
We can’t wait to see your designs! Upload your picture via the website or email it to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Pick a person from the Osprey team and draw a new picture of them for our website.
When Osprey was set up over 10 years ago we wanted our clients to know what we looked like,
so we put our photos on our website. We have had the same photos for a while,
so it is definitely time for some new ones!
Can you help by drawing some new pictures of our team members to go on our website?
Have a look on the Osprey website: https://ospreycsl.co.uk/about-us/the-team/ and pick a person to draw.
Have a think about:
- Who will you draw?
- What job do they do in Osprey?
- Make it colourful and interesting
- If you know someone from Osprey, you could draw them doing their job.
